Changes to Digium Reseller Program

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Digium®, Inc., the Asterisk® Company, today announced several enhancements to its Authorized Reseller program. The new benefits are geared to meet the business needs of a broad range of resellers and to help them benefit from the world’s largest and most vibrant Asterisk ecosystem.

Launched in March 2007, the Digium Authorized Reseller program gives resellers around the world access to the most technically advanced, highest quality open source software and hardware available to support a wide range of telephony applications. Using products from the Digium family, resellers can efficiently deliver applications that include PBX, interactive voice response (IVR), auto attendant, conferencing and voice mail, as well as highly specialized voice over IP (VoIP) applications.

“We’ve been delighted by the response to our announcement earlier this year of the Digium Authorized Reseller program, and now we’re looking to expand its parameters to accommodate a more diverse range of partners,” said Danny Windham, chief executive officer at Digium. “In addition to more attractive product discounts and a broader array of training options, we’re making it easier to do business by giving resellers a single point of contact. Working with Digium is more profitable and easier than ever before.”

Digium is the creator and driving force behind Asterisk, the open source voice communications software deployed by more than 3.5 million servers worldwide to manage VoIP calls for businesses and individuals. More resellers, telecom professionals and software developers choose Digium’s products than those of any other open source telephony company because only Digium delivers the technical superiority, security and flexibility associated with Pure Asterisk.

“The cost savings and flexibility of open source and Linux-based technologies are compelling for both our company and our customers, so when we decided to expand our business into the telecommunications marketplace, Digium and Asterisk naturally became our first choice,” said Raymond McKay, president, RAYNET Technologies LLC. "The company’s dual roles as both head and participating member of the Asterisk community results in products that take advantage of the most secure, feature-rich Asterisk code that only comes with access to the deepest bench of open source telephony experts in the world. Teamed with their world-class reseller support and training programs, we are highly confident in offering Digium/Asterisk-based technologies as a ‘best fit’ solution for our customers.”

Digium Authorized Reseller program benefits for U.S. and international partners include:

Pricing advantages—Generous discounts on demo and production systems yield greater margins.
