Aastra Telecom Achieves Digium Asterisk Premier Interoperability Partner Status; Aastra Becomes a Member of Digium's Partner Program

CONCORD, ONTARIO, Canada & HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 2006--Aastra Technologies Limited (TSX:AAH), a leading global provider of traditional and VoIP communication products and systems, and Digium(R), Inc., the Asterisk(R) company, today announced that Aastra(R) has joined the Digium Partner Program as a Premier Interoperability Partner. Terms of the agreement confirm continued full interoperability between Aastra's complete family of IP telephones and the Digium Asterisk Business Edition(TM).


Under the terms of the partnership program, all of Aastra's standards-based IP phones were tested and validated prior to being certified interoperable with the Digium Asterisk Business Edition. This validation further demonstrates Aastra's ongoing commitment to ensuring that its products tightly integrate and support leading VoIP application platforms such as the Digium Asterisk Business Edition.
